Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher to teach Secondary II–V mathematics (CST, SN, or other MEQ-streamed courses depending on qualifications). The ideal candidate fosters an engaging and supportive classroom environment grounded in Christian values and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics according to the Québec MEQ curriculum and FCA’s mission.
- Plan and deliver rigorous lessons that support diverse learners.
- Use transparent and varied competency-based assessment practices.
- Integrate a Christian worldview into teaching and classroom culture.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and leadership.
- Participate in staff meetings, PD sessions, and school events.
- Maintain consistent classroom management aligned with policies.
- Contribute to a positive, Christ-centred school community.
Qualifications
- Committed Christian actively involved in a local church.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Valid Québec teaching license or eligibility (Brevet, Permit, Tolerance).
- Experience teaching high school math or strong practicum experience.
- Knowledge of current pedagogy, competency-based evaluation, DI, and inclusive practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English and French) preferred.
Assets
- Familiarity with MEQ course codes (CST, SN, CST 4/5).
- Experience in tutoring or co-curricular programs.
- Experience integrating faith and learning.
