Curriculum Overview

Our Wholesome Approach to Education

Faith Christian Academy is committed to providing an education that nurtures both the mind and the spirit. Our curriculum goes beyond traditional academics by incorporating hands-on learning experiences, fostering intellectual growth, and emphasizing spiritual development.

With small class sizes, our teachers can provide personalized attention, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed. Daily devotional time is a cornerstone of our routine, allowing students to start each day with quiet reflection, prayer, and reading. This practice sets a positive tone for the day, encouraging a thoughtful and introspective mindset.

Spiritual Growth

At FCA, spiritual growth is integrated into every aspect of our curriculum. Once or twice a month, students participate in "chapel time" where local pastors deliver age-appropriate messages. In addition to "chapel time", along with regular Bible studies throughout the month, provide students with opportunities to deepen their faith and apply biblical principles in their lives.

Field Trips and Community Engagement

Field trips are a key component of our curriculum, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings. These experiences, coupled with community service projects, play a crucial role in fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to the world around them. Whether it's a visit to a science or art museum or participation in the local food bank, our students gain practical insights and a deeper appreciation of their studies.

Physical Education

Our physical education program is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical fitness among our students. We take full advantage of our proximity to nature by organizing outdoor activities, including hikes and exploration of the nearby forest. Students also enjoy activities like Isaute, where they experience the excitement of trampolines, and we occasionally use the facilities at the John Abbott gym center for various physical education sessions. These activities help students develop physical skills, teamwork, and a love for an active lifestyle.

Forest Play Partnership

Our partnership with Forest Play is a standout feature of our curriculum, offering students the chance to learn outside the classroom in a natural setting. On designated days, students explore the outdoors, engage in nature-centered activities, and develop essential life skills through play. This program is designed to foster environmental awareness, social interaction, and emotional intelligence.

Forest Play allows students to connect with nature, understand their role in the ecosystem, and develop a sense of responsibility for the environment. This hands-on, child-centered approach to learning is an essential part of our commitment to providing a well-rounded education.
