Activities and Trips
Within its implementation of the Québec Education Program, FCA’s pedagogical approach incorporates hands-on learning and enrichment activities through local partnerships and field trips.
These experiences extend classroom learning, encourage active participation and support students’ intellectual, personal, social and spiritual development.
Our Approach to Physical Education
Physical Education and Health activities are provided through access to appropriate indoor gym facilities as well as outdoor environments, including local parks and natural spaces, according to the activities and learning objectives being taught.
Field Trips
Field trips and experiential learning extend classroom learning by allowing students to apply knowledge in real-world settings and engage with their community and environment.
Trips Abroad
In 2023, our high school students had the incredible opportunity to travel to Paris and London. These trips abroad are designed to broaden students' horizons, allowing them to experience new cultures, languages, and histories firsthand. Such experiences are invaluable in fostering a global perspective.
Retreats
Last year, our students participated in a retreat at Frontier Lodge, a Christian Youth Camp on Lake Wallace. This retreat was a time of reflection, connection, and spiritual growth, providing students with a break from the everyday to focus on their faith and bond with their peers.
Community Outreach
We are committed to fostering a spirit of service in our students. This past year, our students partnered with The Dorion Dream Center Food Bank, where they prepared meals and participated in community outreach activities.
This partnership provides students with the opportunity to give back to the community and learn the importance of empathy and social responsibility.
